Tobin arrived as a hungry traveler and offered Bram a song for supper. He sang beautifully, played several of the notes correctly, and was taken in for the night.

MEET THE HALLFOLK
Tobin Rook
The Bard Who Stayed
A colorful, round-bellied halfling bard with a beautiful voice, uneven lute work, and the stage presence of a man outrunning a rainstorm of his own making.
“The Hall took me in—and if I’m shining, friends, that is mostly perspiration.”
THE CHRONICLE
Background and canon.
In Tobin’s telling, the Hall welcomed him when the road had worn him thin. This is true. It is also true that he never quite left. Bram eventually offered him a job; history has not recorded why.
Colorful, enthusiastic, grateful, theatrical, and utterly sincere about the power of a good song. He commits to every performance with his whole body and most of the room’s available moisture.
VOICE & PERFORMANCE CANON
Voice
Light Irish accent with a rich, genuinely excellent singing voice. Spoken delivery is lively and warm. The accent should feel natural, not stage-Irish or exaggerated.
BEHAVIORAL RULE
In a scene
Leans into every lyric, gestures grandly, plays the lute with more passion than accuracy, and visibly sweats buckets on stage. Never ashamed of caring too much.
